High five to Modis San Antonio for putting their best foot forward to “Walk to Cure Diabetes” for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in late October.
The Modis High Five Volunteer program took on special meaning this year for the San Antonio office. Matthew Kabbe, son of Modis Business Development Manager Andrew Kabbe, was diagnosed in 2011 with Juvenile Diabetes. The office decided that this year Matthew would be their inspiration. Wearing Matthew’s Modis Team t-shirts, Modis colleagues and their family members joined 9,000 other participants along the 5K route through downtown San Antonio to raise awareness and funds for the cause. The team exceeded their own expectations beating their $1,500 goal and raising $1,845 to go towards the important programs and research this national organization conducts everyday.
JDRF events are organized in every major city across the country. Visit www.jdrf.org to learn more about Juvenile Diabetes and events in your area.
