Modis and many groups from the Adecco Family recently came together in Washington DC to attend the USOC’s Olympic and Paralympic Summit. The gathering included seminars on career, education, and financial literacy. All of seminars had the goal of helping athletes make a successful transition from the field of play to their next business adventure.
Honored to be Among “The Best”
The event kicked off with the Best of U.S. Awards Show, the United States Olympic Committee’s inaugural event honoring outstanding U.S. performances from the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Modis was honored to attend this event and have the opportunity to meet some of Team USA’s best Olympians and Paralympians. In attendance was our very own Modis regional director, Jim Carter, with several members of his team. Angel Bovee, retired US national boxing champion and Program Specialist for the Athlete Career Program, Laura Weber, Project Manger, Global Project Services for Lee Hecht Harrison and Veronica Day, skeleton athlete and member of the Athlete Career Program were also in attendance.
Find Exceptional Talent Through Athlete Career Program
It’s important to remember that not all athletes have major sponsorship deals and are not able to pay for their training and competitions. They have to pay their bills just like us and that’s where the Athlete Career Program comes in. Modis is a proud participant and is privileged to connect former and current athletes to exceptional careers that give them the flexibility needed to maintain their stringent training programs.
Modis was thrilled to participate in such an extraordinary event and we continue our support for Team USA every day. Contact us today to find out how you can help athletes from all over the country find their dream career!
Angel Bovee, a retired three-time U.S. Boxing Champion and motivational speaker is also a Specialist for the Athlete Career Program. Working numerous jobs and living in her car to make her dreams of competing on Team USA a reality, Angel understands the plight of U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes and hopefuls first hand. She and the ACP team have helped countless top athletes lay the foundations for successful careers.
