Today athletes from around the world will gather at the Fisht Olympic Stadium to celebrate the inauguration of the 2014 Sochi Olympic Winter Games. At opening ceremonies, an athlete from the host country will recite the Olympic Oath, taking this solemn promise as a representation of all athletes at the Olympic Games.
The Oath states:
“In the name of all competitors I promise that we shall take part in these Olympic Games, respecting and abiding by the rules which govern them, committing ourselves to a sport without doping and without drugs, in the true spirit of sportsmanship, for the glory of sport and the honour of our teams”.
230 U.S. Athletes are slated to compete in the 2014 Sochi Olympic Winter Games in eight sports and 15 disciplines. Several of the athletes are members of the Athlete Career Program, lending their talents to top companies that recognize the parallels between excelling in sport and being a top performer in the workplace.
To be the best in the world, these athletes must have incredible focus, drive, resiliency, dedication, team work and consistently be ahead of their competition. These happen to be some of the very same traits that make excellent employees and give your company a competitive edge with a winning team. U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes and hopefuls can inspire all of us to strive to be our best in business, sport, and in life. Modis is looking to partner with companies that would be interested in hiring Olympic or Paralympic hopefuls in a job that would be flexible around their training demands.
